Who are we?
Welcome to our shop! Three Bees Used Books and More is a family-run small business based in Asheville, NC and owned by Mike & Becky Beachem. In 2019, we started a homeschool curriculum store in Asheville. Unfortunately, with kids, regular jobs, homeschooling, and other family commitments, we found we weren't able to manage a full-time brick and mortar store, so we made the difficult choice to sell. Pretty quickly after the sale closed, we realized that we missed the resale world, so we started Three Bees to be a smaller, more manageable business for our family.
Why is it called Three Bees?
The shop is named after our three children, Olivia, Eli, and Sofia.
Do you have a physical location?
Starting in January 2024, we have a small booth inside Altamont Vintage Annex in Asheville, NC. We stock it weekly with lots of vintage books, home decor, and whatever neat old things we find. Stopy by Wednesday through Sunday from 11 to 5!
The rest of our inventory is available on our various online channels (Facebook, Instagram, and eBay). Check out the links at the bottom of the page to follow us on Facebook and Insta.
Why are there Freewebstore advertisements on your page?
We had a few problems with our old website hosting service, so we did some shopping around and decided to moved to Freewebstore.com hosting in February 2024. One of the great features about this platform is that they offer different levels of hosting services based on the size of store you need. We are using the free version, which allows us to have a secure online shopping page, but doesn't force us to max out our budget. As a result, Freewebstore places ads on our page. If we move up to a paid service level, the ads are removed. We don't see the need for that at this point in time.
